Johnny Brumfield "Sunshyne", 37, of Payette, Idaho passed away Monday, Sept. 4, 2017 at St. Alphonus Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loved ones.

Johnny was born on July 11, 1980, in Bogalusa, Louisiana to Donnnie Brumfield and Delois Brooks. He lived in Franklinton and Folsom, Louisiana until he reached the age of 14. From there he moved to Sacramento, California where he graduated from Calvine High School. A few years later he went to college in Phoenix, Arizona at Hi-Tech University where he met the love of his life, Cheri Mitchell.

Johnny was born on July 11, 1980, in Bogalusa, Louisiana to Donnnie Brumfield and Delois Brooks. He lived in Franklinton and Folsom, Louisiana until he reached the age of 14. From there he moved to Sacramento, California where he graduated from Calvine High School. A few years later he went to college in Phoenix, Arizona at Hi-Tech University where he met the love of his life, Cheri Mitchell.

They lived in Phoenix for three years and then moved to Cheri's hometown of Payette, Idaho, where he found a love for the outdoors. He loved to go camping and four wheeling. He was an outgoing individual. Everyone he met couldn't help but love his laugh and sense of humor. He was a very kind, funny, and loving man.

Johnny was preceded in death by his granny Betty J. Bell and cousin Marlon D. Williams "Boo". He is survived by his wife Cheri Brumfield and beloved dog (Raven) of Payette; father Donnie Brumfield (Louise) of Kenner, Louisiana; mother Delois Brooks (Lawrence) of Hammond, Louisiana; sister Denise of Modesto, California; sister Angie of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; brother Greg of Visalia, California; brother Ronnie of Sacramento, California; sister Kyva of Kenner, Louisiana; brother Derrick of Boise, Idaho; sister Ivy of Houston, Texas; brother Antonio of Caldwell, Idaho; brother Andre of Starkville, Mississippi (Mississippi State University); many nieces, nephews and family in-law; as well as many friends who will miss him dearly.

A viewing will be held from 5 pm- 7 pm, Thursday, September 14th at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel in Payette. Graveside service will be held at 2 pm, Friday, September 15th at Riverside Cemetery, Payette. Condolences may be made to Johnny's family at shaffer-jensenchapel.com.
